The 2026 Firecracker 4-Miler & Fun Run

Please join us for the Cranford Jaycee's 2026 Firecracker 4-Miler & Fun Run!

The event takes place on Saturday, July 4th, 2026.

The first Fun Run 1-Miler begins at 8 am, while the 4-Miler begins at 8:30 am.

Participants and viewers will go to Nomahegan Park at 1033 Springfield Ave, Cranford, NJ 07016.

The event takes place rain or shine! There is parking across the street at the Union College Parking Lot.

All registration is online through the Cranford Jaycees' website and participants must register prior to race day.

All participants will receive a race-shirt and chip timer. Any 4-Miler participants will additionally receive a pint glass.

This is the 47th year of this amazing event!

Established in 1979, the event now attracts more than 2,000 participants and thousands of spectators!

Sponsorships for the event help fund awards for 25 scholarships of local Cranford high school students that demonstrated community service and exemplified strong moral character and leadership skills. 

Since 2022, there have been scholarships added for students attending vocational and trade schools.

Thanks to sponsors, the Cranford Jaycees have been able to donate more than $300,000 to various causes in Cranford the past five years.
